in the family firm

It is marked to the back of the stem Sterling, B09 and R (for Richard Blanchard). This handwrought spoon – you can see the marks of the planishing hammer to the stem and the back of the bowl, is made in the
Square/Cornwallis
pattern and remains in
excellent vintage condition.
It bears
no monogram.
An important piece of early 20th-century American silver!
