This is a very nice 15mm in diameter scyphate (cup shaped) coin. it was struck in Venice Italy by Orio Malipiero (1178-1192 AD). this small scyphate coin is called a Silver quarteruolo (also called Denaro Scodellato). The obverse has a short cross at the center with legend around. The reverse also has a short cross at the center with legend around. This is a very nice example of the type. (SKU-605)
