    Description

    Presented is a fine Whiting sterling silver Stilton cheese serving scoop. This scoop is made in the rare and desirable Heraldic pattern, which began production in 1880. This is a classical pattern with intricate scrolled foliate designs and a knight's helmet design, as you'd see on a traditional heraldic crest, on the handle, hence the name. Beneath the knight's helmet design is a shield shaped cartouche, perfect for a monogram or crest of your choice.
    This piece is stamped with the Whiting maker's mark as well as sterling and the retail mark of S. D. Peacock.
    This piece is in great overall condition. There has been a professional monogram removal to the cartouche on the handle, but it was very well done and is hard to notice without close careful inspection. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, and no repairs.
    The server is about 8 1/8 inches long.
    This piece weighs 85 grams or 3.0 regular ounces.
