Description

Presented is a wonderful set of 12 sterling silver dessert or ice cream spoons
by Gorham. These spoons are done in the lovely Douglas pattern, which began
production in 1899. The spoons have interestingly shaped bowls, and this is not
a common form. The spoons have blank areas on the terminals, perfect for a
monogram of your choice.
The spoons are in good overall condition. There is some surface wear to the
bowls and the terminals of the handles. The edges of the bowls of the spoons
have some roughness. There are no splits, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram
removals, and no repairs.
Each spoon is hallmarked on the stem with the Gorham maker's mark as well as
sterling.
Each spoon is about 5 1/4 inches long.
This set weighs 196 grams or 6.9 regular ounces.
