    Description

    Presented is a wonderful Whiting sterling silver serving spoon. This piece is made in the Ivy pattern, which began production in 1865. As the name suggests, the pattern features a design of ivy leaves around the handle, surrounding an interesting imp mask design. The handle has a monogram of NMS in Gothic script.
    This piece is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
    The piece is stamped with the Whiting maker's mark on the back of the bowl, with sterling as well as a patent date of 1865 and a retail mark of H & D Rosenberg on the stem.
    The server is about 8 3/4 inches long.
    The server weighs 89 grams.
