    Description

    Presented is a fabulous Whiting sterling silver ice cream slice. This piece is done in the classical Louis XV pattern, which began production in 1891. This is a classic pattern with a scroll motif on the handles. The entirety of the ice cream slice is sterling silver, both the handle and the blade.
    This piece is in great overall condition. There has been a professional monogram removal to the terminal of the handle, but this is hard to notice and the silver is easily thick enough to be re-monogrammed. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms, and no repairs.
    The handle of the piece is stamped 'sterling' and with the maker's mark for Whiting, as well as a patent date of 1891.
    The ice cream slice is about 12 1/4 inches long.
    The ice cream slice weighs 177 grams or 6.2 regular ounces.
