    Description

    Presented is a great sterling silver salad or serving set made by Whiting and retailed by Bigelow, Kennard & Company. This pair is in the Louis XV pattern, which was patented in 1891. Both handles are cast with lovely scroll designs along the edges. The bowls are gilt and have a nice matte finish.
    The backs are marked with the Whiting hallmark, patent, sterling and Bigelow Kennard & Co.
    This set is in excellent condition. There is only minor surface wear. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monograms, no monogram removals and no repairs.
    The spoon measures 9 1/8 inches long, the fork measures 8 7/8 inches long and the combined weight of the set is 145.2 grams or 5.1 ounces.
