    Description

    Presented is a wonderful quality, heavy weight sterling silver cheese scoop or Stilton cheese scoop made by Gorham Manufacturing Company. The scoop is done in the desirable old Versailles pattern. This multi-motif pattern was first produced in 1888. This piece is the old original production. Both sides of the handle are adorned with an elaborate design of flowers, scrolls and leaves. The back of the handle is monogrammed with MPB.
    The cheese scoop is marked on the reverse with Gorham’s old company hallmarks, Sterling, and Copyrighted.
    The condition is excellent. The pattern is very sharp and crisp. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
    The cheese scoop is 8 3/8 inches long.
    The weight is 96.7 grams or 3.4 ounces.
