Further up the stem is a patent date of May 22 1900.
This piece is in great overall condition. There is some surface wear throughout, particularly to the blade, but nothing excessive. The details of the pattern as quite crisp. There are no splits, no bends, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
