    Description

Presented is a wonderful quality set of 10 sterling silver tablespoons, serving spoons or huge soup spoons made by Wallace Silver Company and Dominick & Haff. Four of the spoons are done in the King pattern by Dominick and Haff which was first produced in 1880. Six of the spoons are done in the Kings pattern by the Robert Wallace & Sons Silver Company . Both patterns are virtually identical to Kings pattern patented by International in 1886, Kings III pattern patented by Gorham in 1885, and Old King pattern patented by Whiting in 1890. It is also very similar to King pattern patented by Reed & Barton in 1890. Each spoon is engraved with a monogram on the end of the handle. Six spoons by Wallace have a monogram of JMS, and four by Dominick and Haff have a monogram of ATR.
Each spoon is marked on the reverse with the maker’s mark for Wallace or Dominick & Haff and Sterling. The Wallace maker's mark is quite worn, but discernible.
The condition is excellent. There are no dents, no splits, no breaks, and no repairs.
The spoons are 8 5/8 inches long.
The combined weight of the set is 742 grams or 26 ounces.
